At the Jewish Learning Experience our mission is to create a nurturing and effective learning environment that provides high-quality Jewish education that helps to prepare children for their bar and bat mitzvah as well as foster a lifelong connection to Judaism.
We are dedicated to the spiritual and cultural development of your children by engaging in exciting, hands-on Jewish learning strengthening their bonds and identity with our ancient heritage and each other.
Our program is focused on supporting parents through this journey by creating opportunities to share in your children's learning experience right along with them as well as giving you insight into your children's character and passions. We care about your children and we want them to be joyful when learning. They are the future of our hemish community at Temple Israel and of Am Yisrael.
Jewish traditions and values are an essential part of Talia’s life. Whether it’s through blowing shofar for 75 of her husband’s law students at Yom Kippur break fast or dressing up in costume to deliver Mishloach Manot and explain Purim to her neighbors, she loves to share her knowledge and passion of Judaism. Born and raised in Pittsburgh PA, Talia is a diehard Steelers and Penguins fan. She earned her PhD by joining two of her passions- neuroscience and genetics and currently works for a precision medicine biotech startup where she hopes to help refine healthcare through genetic understanding. Being in nature, especially skiing and hiking with her husband, Seth, baby daughter, Zeeva, and golden doodle, Morty brings her much joy in experiencing the beauty of God’s creation. She is excited to share this joy with future generations, helping to establish and strengthen their relationship with their Judaism, and eager to contribute to the vibrance of her Temple Israel community.
Hi! My name is Marisa and I will be your new Hebrew school teacher. I graduated this past May with my bachelor's degree in business management. In my free time, I love going to the beach, reading, and art. I grew up going to Hebrew school and looked forward to it every Sunday. I want to make Hebrew school about having fun and learning new things. I am so excited to meet everyone!
Dave has been an educator in various settings for over 15 years. Originally from Albany, NY, and raised in the conservative Jewish community there, he discovered his love for music at a young age. Dave taught Hebrew School for seven years in communities in Albany and Potsdam, NY, as well as Hanover, NH. His Jewish education culminated with his family’s move to Israel for the 2020-2021 school year, where he taught English in the public schools of Eilat. This transformative experience continues to influence his teaching to this day. Currently, Dave is the choral director at Salem High School, where he also teaches piano, guitar, and music technology. He lives in Manchester with his wife Patricia, son Mateo, and Max, “the adventure dog”. They enjoy spending time in the beautiful outdoor setting of New Hampshire, including many trips to local parks and walks on the Rockingham Recreational Trail.
